When thinking stops helping, the body knows the way.

There comes a time when words just kinda stop working.
I know I say this as an avid writer…as thee wordsmith; however, I’ve noticed that venting, ruminating, and explaining feels severely less helpful in this season of my life.
Even talk therapy—something I still advocate for and consider transformative—currently feels like another way of staying in my head (to me). I’m in this foggy space where my body is constantly whispering, enough.
Sometimes there’s more to learn, and other times we know the facts of what we’re dealing with already but we still need to fully accept & integrate.
Sometimes we believe the only way out is through more thinking, more discussing but honestly? Often, it’s through movement.
Through breath. Through impact. Through finally letting energy flow instead of rehearsing what hurt over and over again.
I’ve shared several lessons and observations so far this year, and they’re all the best one until I receive new insight 😂 So, I’ll let you decide where this one falls—here’s the gist:
Sometimes the most healing thing we can do is stop talking about the wound and start moving the energy around it (aka, changing how our nervous system responds).
This season is about embodiment.
Hear me out: only so much peace can come from thinking differently. Eventually, we have to start walking the walk and doing differently.
Maybe this looks like taking a pause before taking offense, or moving your body to release stress instead of neglecting it. Maybe this looks like demoting perfectionism and allowing yourself to just be instead of critiquing your every move.
Maybe it’s trying something new instead of replaying old stories.
Love bug, healing is a practice. Alignment is too. And at some point, reflection has to become embodiment.
This is true in the work I do, too.
At some point, you’ll have to stop complaining about what’s not working in your career journey and simply move toward what will. Stop overanalyzing the plan that’s on your heart. Stop getting advice from people who don’t share your vision or enthusiasm!
Take one small, grounded step that brings your plan to life. Then another one. And another one. You’re racking your brain trying to “figure it out” while your body is asking for you to feel it out instead.
Our bodies know 😭. Listen to the small nudges that show up now because they’ll help you build safety within yourself later…all because you finally decided:
I’m ready to stop contributing to my own suffering. I’m ready to stop thinking about my next chapter and start building it.
One breath, one boundary, one brave and self-respecting decision at a time.

A gentle invitation
To put this embodiment into practice, I’ve decided to start a 30-day yoga and no ruminating challenge 🧘🏾♀️ I’ll probably share some updates on my Instagram stories, but no promises because I just want to be present with the practice vs. having to think about posting it lol.
I’ve done 30-day yoga challenges before and never regretted it. I know my mind will appreciate the intentional focus, too.

Everything about this post SCREAMS where I'm at currently in my journey and trying to be more in my body. It's proven to be a challenge, but also?
